Welcome to
Southampton Elim Church
Southampton Elim Church (formally Elim Christian Centre), is an established pentecostal, family church based near the city centre. We love God, our city and value people. We are just one of over 600 Elim churches in the U.K, and have been situated in Southampton since 1926.
Pastoral Care
We live in unusual times and understand that more than ever, we need to live life in connection with each other. Despite the culture of isolation which continues for many people since the covid pandemic, and along with the concerns around the world in Ukraine or Israel etc, you may even be greatly impacted by your own world and how’s things are looking.
If you would like help or support in any way, or would just like a friendly chat with someone, please contact us. We do not exist to pour religion and judgment upon you, we simply exist to reflect the nature and character of God which is Jesus Christ. It’s an incredible relationship filled with hope, forgiveness and freedom, because of Christ’s death and resurrection for you.
Come along to one of our services or contact us, we would love to hear from you.

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert’

ELIM’S STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO SAFE GUARDING
Elim is committed to creating healthy churches and safe spaces for all. We recognise the ways in which children and adults can be at risk of harm or abuse, so endeavour to create a culture to minimise opportunities for abuse to occur. Children rely on adults to keep them safe, therefore all our churches working with children, either directly or indirectly, are committed to safeguarding children in their care. We seek to do this by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can reach their full potential. Similarly, within our churches there are adults in need of protection, care and support due to vulnerability, whether that is a permanent or temporary state. We are aware too that within our churches there are relationships of trust, which flourish best within healthy churches and environments, where there is openness, transparency and accountability.
We firmly believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and all involved in the life of our churches and activities have a role to play in keeping children, young people and adults safe.
Mark Pugh – General Superintendent
Southampton Elim Church is a member of ThirtyOne:Eight charity, who help organisations protect vulnerable people from abuse. We have a safeguarding policy which is reviewed and updated yearly and we undergo regular safeguarding training.
