our vision

There is a culture being developed here at Southampton Elim Church with our new pastor, where everyone who attends or visits the church are made to feel welcomed, valued and loved. We love Jesus, we love our city, and it’s our passion to make Him known across the community. There’s an account of a young man recorded in the bible, (gospel of Luke), where this person is living a life without purpose, direction and caught up in sin. He had a ‘moment’, where he realised his life is not going in the direction he wants it too. He thought of returning to his family, but had he gone too far? Was there too much complication or mess? This young man made the decision to return to his father, he had enough of this empty, prodigal living.
He was received back and more than that, he was welcomed, given status and affirmed. There was also a celebration because this prodigal had made the decision to return.

This is the culture we desire for everyone to experience with God. To discover the incredible and loving God for themselves.

As well as introducing people to Jesus, we also exist with a range of ministries to help equip the believer with the tools of living out their faith effectively. We are also in the process of launching a range of programmes including bible studies, life-groups and youth groups.

Pastor Danny is a former UK National Director of a global missions organisation that served the persecuted church, particularly in China and the Middle East. Danny’s wife Joanna grew up in a missionary household planting churches in Ireland. Both carry a missional heart. We at Southampton Elim take Jesus’ Commission to “go into all the Nations” seriously, and therefore are delighted to be able to partner with and support a variety of ongoing international missions projects.
